It appears to be completely impossible to distance oneself from the current atrocities taking place. I am no longer allowed to stay in Italy. Pureblood families have an appearance to uphold, don’t they? How medieval of us all.
I received a letter – one that I am struggling to be civil about. I don’t see how this is lawful or beneficial to our kind. These arranged marriages seem to be no more than a clever cloak for forced breeding.
Father has warned me that it is not wise to have such strong opinions during volatile times, but this is absurd.
